Engine and Performance Specifications
As far as performance goes, the GT-R's twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 engine is nothing short of impressive. It generates 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque on the premium trim level. However, on the Nismo, that power output gets upgraded to 600 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque. The Nismo's aerodynamic, lightweight body design helps the vehicle get from 0 to 96.5 KMH in just 3.1 seconds, making the GT-R one of the fastest vehicles on the market. The GT-R also comes with electronically controlled Bilstein shock absorbers along with its sport-tuned suspension. The Brembo performance brakes lend a lot to that feeling of security.
If you decide to get the Nismo, you get a specially tuned Nismo suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes. Those brakes can resist fade while doing a lot of high-performance driving. The wheels are widened as well for even sportier performance. Altogether, the GT-R can cross mountain roads with ease and has a snappy acceleration at full throttle. The six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission shifts well when done manually, and there is a standard all-wheel-drive to help keep the GT-R secure on slippery road surfaces.
